The texts go through a two-stage process, during which they are first translated by a translator and then revised by a proofreader. A computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool connected to multiple translation memories and terminology databases is used to produce the translations. It is important to understand that these translations are not generated automatically. Instead, the CAT tool draws on existing texts, ensuring that terms and phrases are used consistently.
Two constraints apply during the translation process: the translated text must 1) clearly reflect the meaning of the source text and 2) meet the requirements of the target language reader. The translator is responsible for ensuring that the translated corresponds to the original text, while the proofreader reads the text at a greater distance and ensures that idiomatic expressions are used and that the text is easy to read. .
Billing is either per line or per word. After submitting one or more files, the system calculates the price and suggests seven deadlines, but you can also enter your own deadline.

A machine cannot understand the meaning of a text. A computer program generates the target text based on statistical correlations, which can lead to serious translation errors. During the post-editing process, the machine translation is carefully revised.
With TTN, you have the option of specifying whether you want your texts post-edited by one or two post editors. The first post-editor checks that the text corresponds to the original, while the second post-editor reads the text at a greater distance and ensures that idiomatic expressions are used and that the text is easy to read.

Billing:
At TTN, post-editing is billed by time. You will be charged half the regular price for your first few orders. On the first day of each month, the price is recalculated by dividing the number of lines corrected by the amount already charged. The new price, which may be higher or lower, will be applied the following month. Over time, the price will stabilise. You will be informed of the exact costs per line for post-editing at the end of each month when you receive your bill. This ensures you receive transparent information about billing and time spent.
