1999 - 2013 Worked full time as a freelance translator for translation agencies in Germany and abroad, as well as for other companies, institutions and individuals. Main areas of focus: technical, commercial and legal texts, as well as general texts relating to culture and economics.
1994 – 1999 Lived in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Established and ran the non-profit research organization Future Link Foundation, Inc.
1990 - 1993 Co-founded and headed the German non-profit organization "Aktion Perestroika", which organized aid programs and technological transfer of know-how, and carried out a number of projects in the areas of ecology, medicine, and city administration in the former Soviet Union.
1988 - 1990 Worked for 3 years as a freelance translator (German - English) for a Swiss translation company. Translations were mainly in the areas of marketing, management, ecology, technology and law.
1983 - 1988 Participated in a social experiment in Germany. Main activity: heading a "free university". Organized visits by internationally acknowledged researchers and innovators from the social, scientific, and spiritual areas.
1980 - 1983 Patented and marketed, in the United States, new technologies and inventions in the areas of oil recycling, cleaning of oily waste water, and cleaning of air and gas.
1976 - 1980 Participation in a project for researching a new social model in Austria.
1974 - 1976 Worked at the Swedish State Institute for Building Research as author of manuals for architectural computer programs. Co-authored a book about Swedish building research in Third World countries.
1969 - 1973 Studies at the Institute of Technology in Stockholm and at the University of Stockholm. Graduated with a B.Sc. in mathematics, physics and geosciences.
1963 - 1968 Senior High School in Sweden. Graduated 1968.
1960 - 1963 Attended high school at the American Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal.
1958 - 1959 Continued primary education in Sweden.
1956 - 1958 Due to parents' international professions, spent first 2 school years at the International School, Kabul, Afghanistan.
